How to install fonts for Windows and Mac

So you bought one of my fonts and now you're not sure what to do with it. Here are a few tips for installing your font.

Close all programs
Before you install your font, close ALL programs and text editors. If you skip this step the font might not appear in your editor. Once your font is installed you can re-open the program and editor of your choice.

Install font for Windows
- Once you have downloaded the font you will have to unzip it. Windows users can use WinRAR and double-click the file to unzip it.
- Double-click the font file and a preview of the font will pop-up. Click 'install font' at the top of the preview.

Install font for Mac
- Once you have downloaded the font you will have to unzip it. Mac users can use Stuffit Expander and double-click the file to unzip it.
- Double-click the font file and a pop-up will open with a preview of the font. Click 'install font' at the bottom of the preview.

How to access font swashes and extra's
Some fonts have extra swashes and alternate glyphs that can be accessed with a glyph panel. Click here to read more about accessing the extras.

MS Word
Tip for MS Word Users: Be sure to have 'kerning for fonts' enabled for proper letter spacing. Click here to read more about kerning in Word.
